The KLab and Bushiroad collaborative title Love Live! School Idol Festival finally returns for its real world event School Idol Festival Thanksgiving this weekend on May 21 and 22 at Ikebukuro Sunshine City.
The day before the festival proper, May 20, there will also be an SIF Thanksgiving Festival 2016 live broadcast via Japanese video streaming site Niconico.
Another SIF Thanksgiving Festival is being held this year thanks to fans’ continued support. Last year around 40,000 Love Live! fans packed the venue across the two days of the festival, and this time it’s even bigger and better! Other than the exhibition and experience areas, there will be live stage events and limited edition merchandise on sale too as well as the Tokyo area qualifiers and national convention championship.

SIF Thanksgiving Festival 2016 Eve
In the run up to the main festival, there will be a live broadcast by the Aqours cast members of Love Live! Sunshine!!. During the broadcast they’ll be talking about the following days’ events and reporting directly from the venue, where the finishing touches are just being put on the festival environment.

*Love Live!* is a multimedia school idol project based around the idea of making everyone’s dreams come true by working together. The school idol group μ’s (pronounced “muse”) has released music CDs with attached anime PVs on DVD & Blu-ray, magazines, light novels, a TV anime, smartphone games, consumer games, trading card games and even live events starring the voice actresses themselves in person and via radio and live streaming on Niconico.
The first season of the TV anime was broadcast from January to March 2013, the second season from April to June 2014, and the third season from June 13, 2015. The all new theatrical movie, Love Live! The school idol group Aqours hails from Numazu in Shizuoka and has produced music CDs with anime PVs on DVD & Blu-ray, events, magazines, and smartphone apps. The series began in Dengeki G’s Magazine in April 2015, and in October of the same year the group released its first single, “Kimi no Kokoro wa Kagayaiteru Kai?”. In the summer of 2016, they will also receive their very own TV anime series!
