Minecraft Makes Its Way into Japanese Classrooms

Kabuku, Microsoft Japan, and the ICT Dream School Council of Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications have teamed up to bring innovation to schools, inspiring children through 3D printing and programming using Minecraft!

Over 10 sessions of 45 minutes each, the 6th grade students of Sarugaku Elementary School had the opportunity to create buildings in Minecraft which were then printed using Rinkak 3D Avatar Printing Solution.

With the goal of developing their problem-solving skills and understanding of basic programming, they were also able to examine the relationship between the concept of 3D structures and the digital and real-life actualizations of their own creations.

Kabuku plans to continue expanding the business growth of Rinkak 3D Avatar Printing Solution in future partnerships, as well.

Even outside of this, Minecraft being used for education has become more and more popular over the years! Using the different types of blocks and tools available, people have been experimenting with all sorts of things. For example, check out this calculator!

Cool creations like this often use Redstone, a special block which can be turned off and on and acts like electricity to power all sorts of projects! Check out some other possible uses for it in the next video.
