5 Sakura Vocaloid Songs for Spring

The best time to visit Japan is during spring, leaving behind the freezng cold and welcoming a much more comfortable mild weather. Blossoming sakura (cherry blossom) trees all across Japan is a sign that spring is here.

The small, round shaped flowers flutter gracefully from the trees and is most beautiful when the pink petals float to the ground. The blooming of the sakura trees symbolizes human life and the Japanese love to celebrate in groups by holding ‘flower viewing’ parties known as hanami. The season is also a start for a new school semester, college graduates start new jobs and it’s also the start of the new fiscal year for Japanese businesses.

Because of the love for sakura and the things that it symbolizes, sakura is a very popular theme when it comes to Japanese music. Many Japanese artists have at least one song dedicated to the flower and within the Vocaloid genre this is no exception. The most popular sakura-themed Vocaloid song is none other than Kurousa-P’s Senbonzakura.
