Fans of Tokyo Otaku Mode! You've spoken - and we've heard. Here are your favorite anime and characters from the winter 2016 season! We polled fans through Facebook and newsletters from February 3-7 and received a total of 2614 responses. Is your favorite anime on the list?
1. Which anime have you been currently enjoying?
Coming in first place is "ERASED"!
Following closely behind are "Haikyu!! Second Season", "Assassination Classroom Season 2", "Durarara!! x 2 The Third Arc", "Gate Season 2" and "Osomatsu-san". It seems like sequels and leftovers from the last season are really popular!
As Valentine's Day is also coming up, we polled fans on where their 2D hearts truly belong.
In response to the question "What character(s) would you want to be your sweetheart?", the male population tells us the taste for waifu is to each their own!
Coming in first place is Rory Mercury from "Gate". In second place we have Reina Izumi from "Musaigen no Phantom World" while Hotaru Shidare from "Dagashi Kashi" finishes third. Looks like everybody has their own ideal types!
Next up, the ladies' choice!
"Durarara!" comes in strong, with Shizuo Heiwajima and Izaya Orihara taking first and second places. "Haikyuu!"'s star volleyball player Tooru Oikawa finishes off in third place. There's no doubt which series' are popular with the girls ^^
Of course Valentine's Day is also all about friendship, so we asked fans "What character(s) would you want to be friends with?"
The boys tell us that their favorite buddy is Satoru Fujinuma from "ERASED", followed by Youji Itami from "GATE" and "Koro-sensei" from "Assassination Classroom".
Meanwhile for the ladies, Shouyou Hinata from "Haikyuu!" takes first place while Celty Sturluson from "Durarara" comes in second. Interestingly, for both male and female respondents, Koro-sensei from "Assassination Classroom" makes the third place in this race.
