App Packed with Everything “Detective Conan” to Launch This Month

Gosho Aoyama’s Detective Conan began serialization in 1994 and its TV anime began broadcasting in 1996, and now it’s already crossing into its 20th year since it was created. It’s a popular series even now with not just kids but teens and adults too. And through its long serialization much has happened in the way of story, characters, and events. For those who want to know more about the depth of Detective Conan, a convenient tool has emerged: the Detective Conan Portal App. The app will be released on iOS and Android in February 2016.

The app is being released through a business partnership with Shogakukan, which publishes Detective Conan, and Cybird. It is packed with everything Detective Conan, from the manga and anime to the games and more. The app is free to use but charges microtransactions for items.

Likely to be the highlights of the app are, first off, the manga. Every day, excluding Wednesdays, a new chapter will be available to read for free on the app. “Secret stories” will reveal behind the scenes with staff of the manga, anime, and app. It’s also a complete content tool that’s easy to use. There are famous scenes from the Detective Conan manga turned into fun stickers, and these can be used in emails and on SNS. You can even use them to communicate with friends. What’s more, each week a specially drawn wallpaper exclusive to the app will be released for free.

A promotional site for the app opened on Jan. 25. There, you can find even more detailed information.
