The Detective Conan live theatre show, “Meitantei Conan Live Mystery: Youjou no Meikyuu (Labyrinth),” will be held in Tokyo at the Kinokuniya Southern Theatre from Aug. 10–21, 2016 before moving on to Sapporo where it will play Doshin Hall on Sept. 16 and 17, and then to Osaka’s Matsushita IMP Hall from Sept. 22–25.
The cast for this exciting live show has now been announced and includes a number of today’s hottest young male stars. First among these is Ryo Hirano who played the lead in Sayonara Sorcier. He is accompanied by Akihisa Shiono who took the leading role in the Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi stage show, and Koudai Miyagi previously seen in the Prince of Tennis 3rd Season musical. The guys are also backed up by the host of the top TV show Rank Oukoku, Rihona Kato, as well as Yutaka Hamamoto, Yuko Nakamichi, and Ichirou Mikami. A mystery will unfold on the stage with these seven guys and gals at its center, but who will be the victim? Who will be the killer? Any of these guys look suspicious to you? Keep your eyes peeled for more evidence to appear in the near future.
This special live performance puts audience participation at its center and has been created in honour of the 20th anniversary of the first broadcast of the Detective Conan TV anime. Boarding a luxury liner as one of its travellers, you will meet with a “mysterious incident” that makes you a witness to a strange crime and not permitted to leave the theatre until you discover the solution for yourself! Experience the opportunity to become a detective and solve a mystery with the aid of Conan Edogawa in this interactive theatrical event.
What’s a “live mystery”?
It’s an event where you get to become a detective and solve a crime! The show has been put together by E-Pin who also designed Japan’s first interactive mystery show “Mystery Night.”Hiroki Murakami of theatre company Sessya Meunière will direct with Tokyo Milk Hall’s Sano Babitch writing the script.
