Japanese PC Shoot ‘em Ups Gather in Akihabara! Game Event “Transition 2015” to Be Held on Dec. 26

Though the current overall market for gaming sees higher trends in mobile growth, game services such as Steam that give you the full gaming experience on the PC are still going strong. Well there’s good news for the more serious gaming fans that apply to the latter, especially fans of vertical shooters!

Get ready for the ultimate PC vertical shooter event being held in Akihabara on Dec. 26, "Transition 2015." The event will be held at what is commonly referred to as the “holy grounds” of shoot ‘em up games amongst fans, the Hirose Musen Denki Hall, with free entry for attendees. Not only will visitors be able to enjoy popular shooter games from Steam, talk show events featuring famous creators, contests to win fabulous prizes, as well as many other events are in the works. Friendly for all those interested, from hardcore gamers to shoot ‘em up game novices, there will be an event fit for every kind of attendee.

Out of all the industry makers set to participate in the event, Cave will be one that you want to pay attention to. With popular titles such as Mushihimesama, Gothic wa Mahou Otome ~Sassato Keiyaku Shinasai! ~ (hereby referred to as Mahou Otome), and more, Cave is a well established game company with high regards from the community for being one of the most active makers in the industry that continues to contribute to the genre.

Following their successful game Mushihimesama, Cave will be announcing their next game to be debuting on Steam and offering a gorgeous lineup of new merch for sale at the event.

■ Compilation Mini Album: “Cave Gothic Collection”
A compilation with select tracks from the Death Smiles and Mahou Otome series. This will be the first time that tracks from Mahou Otome will be collected and mastered. Price: 2,000 yen.

■ Rosalie’s Birthday Commemoration! Can Badge Gacha Gacha Machines
Gacha Gacha machines with can badges featuring popular characters from series such as Mahou Otome and more will be available at the event. A total of 15 collectible can badges will be available at 200 yen each. The day of the event will also be Rosalie from Mahou Otome’s birthday, so many Rosalie can badges will be especially included in the Gacha Gacha machines! Also included are special prizes that will allow lucky winners to receive official not-for-sale goods such as T-shirts, and the chance to play Cave’s next game on Steam before anyone else.

■ First Ever Event Goods for Mahou Otome: Rosalie’s Cutting Board
A limited edition cutting board with the adorable Rosalie printed on it will be for sale at 1,000 yen. Other goods include Taito collaboration T-shirts (3,000 yen).

Mushihimesama Steam Ver. Score Attack Contest
A score attack contest will be held for Mushihimesama, which will be available to be played for free on the day of the event. The winner will receive a one-of-a-kind Mushihimesama pure gold “WebMoney.”

Other than Cave, makers such as Qute ( Eschatos ), and Treasure ( Ikaruga ), and many more will be attending! An event to enjoy every and all shoot ‘em ups, it’s sure to be the dream event for fans.
