“Genocidal Organ” and “Harmony” Theatrical Teaser Trailers Shown on Web for First Time

More and more information about the eagerly awaited second series of Noitamina movies which are based on novels by Project Itoh is coming to light. On Sept. 11, teaser trailers for both Genocidal Organ and Harmony were unveiled online.

Noitamina’s second season of movies which are all based on works by novelist Project Itoh will feature Empire of Corpses, Genocidal Organ and Harmony, and the series will adapt the original novels of the author who passed away in 2009 into theatrical animated movies. With the release of Empire of Corpses, which was completed by Itoh’s good friend and Akutagawa prize-winning author Toh EnJoe, due for release on Oct. 2, fans’s expectations are continuing to rise.

The release dates for the films for which the teasers have been unveiled have also been revealed, with Genocidal Organ to be released on Nov. 13, and Harmony on Dec. 4. The teaser trailers have been running in theaters since Aug. 28, but this is the first time they’ve been uploaded to the internet where they can be viewed on the official website.

Genocidal Organ has been hailed as “the best work of fiction of the 2000’s.” Manglobe is handling the animation and the movie is directed by Shuko Murase. Harmony *was written in 2008, the year before Satoshi (Project) Itoh passed away. Takashi Nakamura, animation director on *Akira, and Michael Arias ( Tekkonkinkreet ) will co-direct the animation which will be produced by Studio4ºC.

With the imminent release of Empire of Corpses, a preview screening of the completed film has also been announced and will take place at Toho Cinemas Nihonbashi on 26th September 2015. The director Ryoutarou Makihara, Yoshimasa Hosoya who plays John H. Watson, Ayumu Murase who plays Friday, and Kana Hanazawa who plays Hadary are all expected to attend. Tickets went on sale at midnight on Sept. 11 via Vit Online.

PVs, teaser trailers - new information is coming in hand over fist, it’s really off to a flying start now. Better be paying attention!
