“Garo -Guren no Tsuki-”: Providing a Heian Taste in Masakazu Katsura’s Visuals Starting from Oct. 9

Brand new information about Garo -Guren no Tsuki- (Garo: Crimson Moon), the second TV animation series based on the popular special effects drama Garo, has been released. The broadcasting date is set for Oct. 9, and key visuals by character designer Katsura Masakazu, as well as the members of the cast, have been revealed.

Garo -Guren no Tsuki- will start off on the TV Tokyo Network, and will be made available on BS Star Channel and CS Family Theatre later on. This will allow viewers from various regions to enjoy the series. Garo -Guren no Tsuki- is set to be on air for two seasons, and will provide its audience with a deep storyline revolving around Garo the Golden Knight, as he carefully works his way through the Heian Era.

Main character designs will be handled by prominent manga artist Masakazu Katsura, who is known for his involvement in series including Video Girl Ai, Zetman, and of course, Garo -Honoo no Kokuin- (Garo: The Carved Seal of Flames). With experience in Garo’s first TV animation and drama adaptations, Katsura will serve as a core member of the staff team. The key visuals that were once nothing more than a silhouette have been fully revealed, and the amazing quality is more than enough to stir up emotions of excitement and anticipation.

The cast of the series includes Romi Park from Fullmetal Alchemist, Akiko Yajima from Crayon Shin-chan, Daisuke Namigawa from Lupin III, Tomokazu Seki from Psycho-Pass, Kenyu Horiuchi from Guin Saga, along with many other talented members as well. Although Park, Namigawa, and Horiuchi have taken the main character roles in the first series, exactly who they will play this time around is still a mystery. Detailed information about the cast will be coming at a later date.
