The event “Odoru? Pikachu Tairyou Hassei-chu!” (Will They Dance? Pikachu Outbreak!) will be held from Aug. 8–16 throughout the Yokohama Minato Mirai area (Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture). A video lesson of the Pikachus practicing their dance moves ahead of time has been posted to YouTube.
The video shows two Pikachus along with Pikachu Onii-san (Older Brother Pikachu), who introduces the sharp movements of the “Pikachu Dance” planned to take place at various locations throughout the event, though we couldn’t help our eyes being drawn to the Pikachus dancing behind him.
If you gaze at the video transfixed on the two Pikachus who are undeniably cute you’ll notice that even they, though they look similar, have their own idiosyncrasies, like the Pikachu on the left losing its balance slightly after it jumps, and the Pikachu on the right who’s not very good at wiggling its tail.
There will be over 1,000 Pikachus just like these two at the “Will They Dance? Pikachu Outbreak!” event. What kind of Pikachus you’ll meet will be part of the fun.
