Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Hits a Million Copies

Square Enix made an official announcement that one million copies of its recently released game, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, have shipped worldwide. The game was released for Playstation 4 and Xbox One on March 17, 2015 in the US and March 19 in Japan. In the announcement, Square Enix posted this image on Twitter as a thank you to the fans for making it a huge success.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is set in the world of Orience. In the game, Cid Aulstyne, ruler of the Militesi Empire, breaks a peace treaty between the four nations of Orience and succeeds in forcefully overtaking most of the world with the power of the White Tiger Crystal and the Milites army. When Aulstyne attacks the Dominion of Rubrum, Rubrum students from Class Zero take on a secret mission to wrest the Vermillion Bird Crystal from Aulstyne's control.

The game also includes a demo copy of Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae. Gamers have been anxiously awaiting Final Fantasy XV since the time it was first announced in 2006. It has been in development for nearly a decade, and features an action-roleplaying battle system similar to another popular Square Enix franchise, Kingdom Hearts. Final Fantasy XV is also the first game to fully use the Luminous Studio engine which was shown off in a tech demo trailer called Agni's Philosophy at E3 2012.
