A hot topic even after its serialization drew to a close in the fall of 2014, the manga Naruto is to receive its own exhibition, titled “Commemoration of Serialization Completion: Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto the Exhibition,” opening its doors starting April 25 at the Mori Arts Center Gallery in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo. A project of enormous scale, the exhibition is to be comprised of content ranging from the series’ original raw artwork to exclusive video content!

Advance ticket sales for the exhibition will begin on Feb. 7, and at the center of attention is the bonus item that advance sale ticket holders will receive. That is because the bonus present is none other than a special volume titled Naruto Exhibition Premium Fan Book – Shinden: Ikazuchi no Sho, containing a stand-alone manga drawn by the author, Masashi Kishimoto himself. This specially drawn, stand-alone manga is 19 pages long, and the story is one that fans will no doubt want to physically get their hands on to enjoy.

In 2014, Naruto completed its serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine after 15 years, and still remains a hot topic today. In December of 2014, production of the manga’s afterstory, The Last: Naruto The Movie, as well as the new film Boruto: Naruto The Movie, were announced. Both are a part of the project “Naruto New Era Opening Project.” Beginning in April, the “Commemoration of Serialization Completion: Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto” exhibitions will be held in Tokyo as well as Osaka. Information such as a map of the venue and the content at the exhibition corner have also been announced on the exhibition’s official website. Some of the exciting content that will be on display includes over 150 pages of the series’ original artwork and a display of the Valley of the End created with a combination of graphics and modelling techniques. The exhibition will also feature screenings of exclusive video content in the “Konoha Aun Za” area, with background music by Tsugaru-shamisen players, the Yoshida Brothers.

The exhibition will be held from April 25 to June 28 at the Mori Arts Center Gallery in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo, and from July 18 to Sept. 27 at the Osaka Culturanium at Tempozan.
