Figure and merchandise developer/manufacturer/supplier Surprise Next has made a Gomora-chan figure from Bakutendo’s Ultra Kaiju Anthropomorphism Project: The 4-Koma (Tentative) section of Kadokawa’s Dengeki G’s Magazine.
Pre-orders have begun on the online shop at the price of 9,800 JPY (tax not included), and will last until Saturday, Nov. 15. Shipments are planned to begin in late February 2015.
School swimsuit Gomora appears in Japan, the land of female figures!
With the wide range of female figure representations these days of not only Sengoku and Three Kingdoms warriors, but also battleships and super robots, Ultra Kaiju are not out of place.
Officially sanctioned by Tsuburaya Productions, the Ultra Kaiju Humanization Project has popular illustrators transform the Ultra Kaiju into beautiful young girls and has previously released a figure of space kaiju Eleking as a sexy young woman through toy designer Plex.
This time, it’s Gomora-chan, a comic version who is one of the main characters of The 4-Koma, that has been made into a figure.
The original Gomora first appeared in Episodes 26 and 27 of Ultraman entitled “The Princes of Monsters: Part 1 and 2” and is still popular today as a fierce opponent who took on Ultraman in a difficult battle, but through the hand of Minoa at computer game company Nitroplus, this Gomora-chan has become an adorable girl in a school swimsuit.
The online shop also offers a bonus clear file with a Minoa illustration.
Surprise Next is also scheduled to release a second and third figure in the future.
