The guests have been announced for the world premieres of the movie K: Missing Kings, which will be held simultaneously in the U.S. and France. The movie will first premiere overseas ahead of its July 12 release date in Japan.
The venues for the premieres will be Japan Expo in France and Anime Expo in Los Angeles, U.S., both of which will be held at the beginning of July. Each is a large-scale event decorated with that country’s representative pop culture. Furthermore, although no official announcement has been made, aside from the U.S. and France, Singapore has also been marked on the top page of the official site for the world premieres. It seems likely that this will be some kind of event as well.
It has been decided that Angela, singer of the theme song to K: Missing Kings, will appear on stage as a guest at Anime Expo in Los Angeles. Appearing as guests at Japan Expo in France will be Kenjiro Tsuda and Yui Horie, the voices of Mikoto Suou and Anna Kushina, respectively. Because each of these guests is popular in their respective areas, they will likely cause a huge commotion on the day of the events. The venue and time of the world premiere screenings is yet to be announced, but each one will likely be showered in attention.
Also, a 3-minute, 40-second promotional video, the longest for the movie to date, was released on May 11. This is the same PV that was first shown at AnimeJapan 2014 on March 23. You can see it on the movie’s official site and YouTube. It is loaded with the gorgeous visuals inherent to the series.
The release of the Blu-ray box and DVD box of the TV anime K has also been announced. Both will release on Aug. 6 from Starchild. The set will include three discs, with one being of bonus content. The price excluding tax is 20,000 yen.
