A production materials collection packed with everything from Tiger & Bunny: The Rising, which released on Feb. 8 and was very well received by fans, will release on June 20. The collection is called Tiger & Bunny: The Rising - King of Works.
King of Works is a super fan book divided into four volumes that include production materials, original drawings, and the movie’s script. Each volume could be called a definitive piece, and they collectively span 960 pages. The price is 7,000 yen excluding tax. The deadline for pre-orders was May 7.
The production materials collection is B4 size and 224 pages. Included are new concept materials for Kotetsu, Barnaby, and other familiar characters. Of course, Ryan, Virgil, and other new characters introduced in the movie are also included, as are the overwhelmingly high-quality art boards used in the movie that captured fans’ eyes, which appear in full color. Another highlight is the complete mechanical configurations.
The original art collection is 144 pages and includes carefully selected works drawn by the animators. The complete script is 352 pages long and represents as closely as possible the script used during post-recording. Each one gives inside information on the film and anime production and conveys the splendidness of the series.
In addition to this, the centerpiece is the super fan book packed with reading material. This 240-page volume includes informative, long interviews with 18 members of the staff. The storyboard section also includes a selection that focuses on the movie’s climactic scenes. The 10 character profiles and nine original illustrations are also highlights.
