Dennō Coil is a masterpiece TV anime broadcast in 2007 that even now still resounds in the hearts of many fans. The visual book Dennō Coil Visual Collection, which is filled with the work’s drawn world, will be re-released by Fukkan.com in April. Dennō Coil Visual Collection was first published by Tokuma Shoten in July 2008. The book is a collection of precious drawn materials. The book is a manual for fans and aspiring animators, and it has long since been out of print. The reprint of the book was realized due to the enormous response and demand on Fukkan.com.

Dennō Coil is filled with highlights including abundantly unique characters, a detailed story created by director Mitsuo Iso who is the creator and writer, and the latest techniques that blend into the everyday scenery. In particular, the many pictures drawn by top animators are showered in attention by fans. Director Iso is an animator whose skills are prominent within Japan. Dennō Coil also gathered together top-class animators including Toshiyuki Inoue, Takeshi Honda, Yoshimi Itazu, Kiyotaka Oshiyama, Katsuya Kondō, Tadashi Hiramatsu, Kaichi Honma, Satoko Morikawa, and Kenichi Yoshida. Dennō Coil Visual Collection is a collection of 2,000 works from these animators.

There is also an important reason behind Fukkan’s timing to re-release the book this year. This is that the main characters Yasako and Isako were born in 2014. It can be said that re-releasing the book this year is perfect timing for taking one more look back at the series. The book is divided into three sections. Section 1 covers copyrighted illustrations, Section 2 is comprised of original pictures that include layouts, and Section 3 contains storyboards and production materials. The book was supervised by director Mitsuo Iso and Toshiyuki Inoue, which speaks to it being a complete collection. It is A4 size, 288 pages, and costs ¥4,000 excluding tax.
