Exhibit for the “Monogatari” Anime Series Opens for a Short Time in Ikebukuro

The Monogatari Series Second Season exhibit “Monogatari Series Picture Exhibit: Araragi Pavilion” is being held now until Sept. 1 at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro, Japan. Here, attendees can enjoy the world of the popular TV anime through pictures. Monogatari Series Second Season began broadcasting on Tokyo MX in July of this year. The anime is based on the series of light novels by Nisio Isin. With the finale of Nekomonogatari (White) recently taking place, the next story in the lineup, Kabukimonogatari, is currently broadcasting.

At the “Monogatari Series Picture Exhibit: Araragi Pavilion,” various production documents, with an emphasis on original illustrations, are on display. Illustrations and layouts for Nekomonogatari (White), Bakemonogatari, Nisemonogatari, and Nekomonogatari (Black) are all on display. Each area of the exhibit features a recreation of a setting in the series, giving attendees the chance to experience the world of the series. Furthermore, there is also an exhibit of the cover art created by the illustrator of the original work, Vofan. A space introducing where the Monogatari series will go next has also been prepared.

Goods commemorating the event are also for sale at the exhibit. These include “Hitagi Senjōgahara’s Case and Attached Ruler Set” (735 yen), “Nadeko Sengoku’s Snake Towel” (2,100 yen), “Fire Sisters’ Hair Clip Fan” (630 yen), and more. These impressive items cleverly express the charm of the characters. Of course, there are also items perfect for everyday use, such as clear file folders (315 yen each) and bags (1,575 yen each). Those who purchase more than 2,000 yen worth of goods at the exhibit will receive an exclusive bookmark as a present. There are six bookmarks in total, and they are given out at random.

Entrance to the exhibit costs 1,000 yen, and there is also a bundle being sold for 3,000 yen that includes a ticket, hand towel, and bamboo fan (all prices stated include tax).
