The main visual for the TV anime Meganebu! to begin broadcasting this October has been released. There are still many mysteries regarding this anime, but what we do know is that it will be a comedy that follows five glasses-wearing high school guys who are crazy about glasses and form a club all about their love of glasses. All five of the main characters are handsome, so this is one anime that female anime fans will surely want to check out.
The main staff for the anime has also been decided. The anime is being produced by Studio Deen, which has a long career in anime intended for females such as Junjo Romantica: Pure Romance and Sekai-Ichi Hatsukoi. Taking on the role of director is Sobi Yamamoto, who, though only 23 years old, has gathered attention for her unique visual work. Other staff includes Atsuko Nakajima, known for You're Under Arrest and Ranma ½, as character designer and Akao, who also worked on Arakawa Under the Bridge and Pretty Rhythm, as series composer.
The cast for the anime was announced on July 12 at a Nico Nico Live event called “TV Anime ‘Meganebu!’ Production Announcement Debut Meeting” and includes Kenji Akabane (Soma Akira), Koki Miyata (Kamatani Mitsuki), Atsushi Tamaru (Hachimine Takuma), Junichi Suwabe (Minabe Yukiya), and Ryohei Kimura (Kimata Hayato).
