Specially Made Illustrations by Clamp Displayed at Japan Expo 2013!

In celebration of the cooperation between Japan’s Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair 2013 and France’s Japan Expo 2013, Popular works and gorgeous illustrations of almost all characters created by the Japanese female manga artist group Clamp 1 will be on display for a limited time in the VIP room at Japan Expo.

Kyoto and Paris became bound as sister cities in June of 1958. Based on this, the cooperation between Japan Expo and Japan’s Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair 2013 came about and this plan to display Clamps’ works was implemented. Due to Japan Expo also being held in America this year, a road show of works specially made by representative illustrators and manga artists from Tokyo, Paris, and San Francisco is planned (works from Paris and San Francisco are currently being created).

^1^ Clamp is Japan’s premiere group of female manga artists born in Tokyo and Osaka. Their representative works include Magic Knight Rayearth, Cardcaptor Sakura, Chobits, and xxxHolic.
