The decision has been made to hold the cosplay photo exhibition “Cure x Cocofuri Cosplay Art at pixiv Zingaro.” The event will be held between June 6 (Thu) and 18 (Tue) in the shared gallery of Kaikai Kiki under the management of pop artist Takashi Murakami and Pixiv, which is famous for its illustration sharing SNS. Admission is free.
This event was made possible by the collaboration of Cocofuri, a company that propagates that cosplay is an art; Cure, a community site specializing in cosplay; and Pixiv Zingaro. The event challenges a new possibility of cosplay by expressing it from an artistic standpoint.
The main content of the exhibition is cosplay-themed photographs and CG art that uses cosplay photos as its raw material. The works that were selected at the screening of last year’s cosplay contest “Cocofuri Cosplay Art” will also be displayed.
On June 8 (Sat), guest cosplayers Kaname, Kotori, and Tatsumi Inui will be visiting, and there will be an event where it where photography will be permitted.
