Eva Jigsaw, a smartphone app based on the tremendously popular movie series Rebuild of Evangelion, has received an upgrade. Eva Jigsaw Ver. 2.0 was released on Google Play and the App Store in March.
The app was released in commemoration of Studio Khara’s film Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo. The game features visuals of famous scenes from Rebuild of Evangelion arranged as jigsaw puzzles. Once a puzzle is solved, its visual can be used as a smartphone wallpaper. It gives fans the opportunity to enjoy Evangelion while training their brains. The app is free to download but features microtransactions.
The new version allows users to keep track of their time and records for solving the puzzles. The records will be updated every time a personal best is achieved. This allows fans to hone their skills and get better each time. It’s also been made easier to unlock additional puzzles, so those who would rather enjoy the game at their leisure can do so.
