Relaxing, Traditional Japanese Themed Akiba Internet Cafe Holds “Four Seasons Project”

Do you know what nagomi means? It’s means “to relax or to calm one's mind.” With the concept of nagomi in mind, the internet cafe “Nagomi Style.Cafe Akiba Shop” was created in Akihabara, Tokyo. This year marks their eighth anniversary. To celebrate, the launch of the “Four Seasons Project” was announced.

The cafe is themed after a traditional Japanese inn in Kyoto. Many guests talk about the beauty of the female staff who wear kimonos. The popular cafe has had over 500 thousand people visit since it opened.

The “Four Seasons Project” is by the group Nagomi Chaya Musume, which is made up of staff from the cafe. The girls have events planned throughout the year. For example, they are currently creating songs for each season. The first song is for spring and includes the Koto, a famous musical instrument of Japan. The song features traditional Japanese qualities mixed with a dance music tempo.

The official site for Nagomi Chaya Musume just opened earlier this month and the girls are broadcasting an internet show twice a month. Definitely check it out, and look forward to more news on Nagomi Chaya Musume.
