The PlayStation 3 game ZX Zekkai no Crusade will be released in Japan on May 23. The game is based on the popular trading card game Zillions of Enemy X.
The game is set in the year 20XX and humanity is on the verge of annihilation due to an invasion by strange-looking beings from another world nicknamed ZX. The PS3 version features a new story and is set in five different cities. Each city has a main character abundant in personality and the story weaves between these characters.
The main characters fight by using a device to capture ZXs and seal them within cards. Once a ZX has been captured, it can be summoned and used in battles. In this card battle game, players must carefully create their decks being conscious of their ZXs abilities and requirements. The game also offers several strategic elements to the battles, including “Code Hack,” which allows players to capture enemy ZXs, and “Overwrite,” which allows players to increase their ZX’s strength.
ZX Zekkai no Crusade features more than 250 ZXs, all of which are beautifully illustrated. The game allows players the opportunity to savor the enjoyment of collecting cards and strategically crafting their decks how they see fit. Limited cards will be included in the first edition of the game as well as for those who pre-order it.
