It has become an established practice that a new Crayon Shin-chan movie be released every spring, which is great for fans of the series. Since the main character of Crayon Shin-chan is a kindergarten student, the series’ main audience is children. However, the new movie will have a story that even adults will enjoy.
The new movie, titled Crayon Shin-chan: Very Tasty! B-class Gourmet Survival, will be released on April 20. It has also been announced that the band Sekai no Owari’s new song “RPG” has been chosen as the movie’s theme song due to it sharing common themes with the movie, most notably “friendship” and “adventure.”
Regarding their new song, Sekai no Owari had this to say:
“We are all childhood friends and we met each other at around that same time that Shin-chan meets Nene-chan, Kazama-kun, Masao-kun, and Bo-chan. Shin-chan was our good friend and our secretly bad friend. He is still our friend today, and we were extremely delighted to be able to craft the story for the theme song. Sometime along the way, we grew up and went from being friends to being colleagues. The lyrics of the song deal with aiming for the perfect blue sea that is the sky, and not being afraid of anything because you’re not alone. It’s reassuring to know that other people have your back when struggles arise. However, lonely thoughts still pop up from time to time. We wrote the song while thinking of this.”
The new song and video for “RPG” is definitely worth checking out!
