Chartered Blue Train, Dismantled Shinkansen...When did Nico Nico Douga Become a Train Otaku Site?!

As a continuation of the popular project from last year’s Nico Nico Cho Kaigi event, a chartered Blue Train will be in service the day before this year’s Nico Nico Cho Kaigi 2 kicks off on April 27. The train will run from Osaka to Ueno.

New to this year, the train will make several stops along the way so that passengers can disembark and take photos of the train. It’s going to be an experience that any train fan wouldn’t want to miss. Tickets for the train are 30,000 yen and began being sold on Feb. 22.

At the Nico Nico Cho Kaigi 2 venue, a show featuring a dismantled shinkansen is also planned. A limited quantity of parts from the shinkansen will also be available to purchase at the venue. Furthermore, two exhibitions called Tetsudo Ennichi and Tetsudo Musume will also be held. These exhibits will feature display booths of railroad companies and railroad goods for sale.
