Promotion Events Held for “One Piece Film Z”!

Before the release of One Piece Film Z on Dec. 15, 2012, many promotions were held. Let’s take a look at a few.

The first promotion was the “Weekly One Piece Newspaper”. Published by the Nikkan Sports Shinbunsha, each issue featured 28 full-color pages packed with intriguing One Piece articles and interviews. The newspaper ran for one month starting on Nov. 22, and the cost of each issue was 300 yen.

Next was the “Ikebukuro One Piece Project”. This promotion included five different projects. For example, the Sunshine Deck had materials from the movie on display as well as goods for sale, and the Animate Ikebukuro store had a stamp rally and various other games.

Lastly, on the day of the movie’s release, a two hour One Piece special called “One Piece Episode of Luffy: Adventure on Hand Island” was broadcast on Fuji TV Saturday Premiere.

One Piece Film Z is currently breaking records and becoming the most popular movie of the series, and these promotions definitely helped it to get there!
