The newest movie in the One Piece series is quickly becoming the series’ biggest hit. However, the popularity of One Piece overall is nothing short of breathtaking. The work isn’t only extremely popular for its anime, but also its games. Speaking of which, the newest game in the series, One Piece: Romance Dawn - Bouken no Yoake, which was released on Dec. 20, 2012, has been picking up great attention. Let’s take a look at the game’s system.
One Piece: Romance Dawn - Bouken no Yoake is an action game. However, with the inclusion of a development system, it’s not your average action game. For example, playable characters’ attributes and special attacks can be strengthened. By increasing a character’s attributes, players can unlock new attacks for the character to learn. Also, by increasing a character’s special attacks, their power will increase and their appearance will change and become more grandiose. Plenty of impressive action scenes abound thanks to this engrossing system.
The game also allows players the ability to experience first-hand different arcs in the series’ original story, such as the Impel Down Arc and the Marineford Arc. A plethora of characters from the series appear in the game including Buggy, Ivankov, Whitebeard, and Hancock. One Piece fans, if you haven’t played this game yet, what are you waiting for?
