The channel for Senyu on Nico Nico Channel began broadcasting in December 2012 in preparation for the start of the anime, which began on Jan. 8, 2013. Even though the anime is also being broadcast on TV Tokyo, the channel allows those without a TV the opportunity to still watch the anime.
Recently, news of many works that started online being made into anime is plentiful. Senyu is another example of this. The work began in 2010 as a web manga on Nico Nico Seiga. In 2011, the story was continued in Senyu: The Second Chapter. The work was so well received that it even begin being serialized in the popular manga magazine Jump Square in 2012. Also in 2012, the first volume of the long-awaited manga was released.
The anime is being directed by Yutaka Yamamoto, who is famous for his work on The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi and Lucky Star. Check out the anime to see how this adaptation of Haruhara Robinson’s work is shaping up.
