In commemoration of Hatsune Miku’s fifth birthday, a special event called “Hatsune Miku Live Party - 2012 in Sapporo (Mikupa♪)” has been announced. Since her first performance in Tokyo in March 2011, 10 Hatsune Miku performances have been held in regions such as Sapporo, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and even America to more than 25 thousand fans. The event will take place from Feb. 9-10, 2013 in Sapporo, marking Miku’s first performance in Sapporo in a year.
“Mikupa♪” makes use of a new form of live entertainment using the DTM software character Hatsune Miku. The concert consists of original songs by Vocaloid artists being performed by a live band while an image of Hatsune Miku dances on stage and sings to the songs.
The concerts are being hailed as a compilation of performances from the last two years, and will be based on the Hong Kong and Taiwan performances with new songs and appearances by KAITO and MEIKO. Tickets for the event are now on sale!
