Animation Cultural Course Begins in Mitaka, Japan

The first animation cultural course, subtitled “Departing from the Mitaka Ghibli Museum, Enjoy Animation 10 Times More”, is now in session at the Mitaka Network College in Mitaka, Japan. The course is a collaboration between the city of Mitaka and the Mitaka Ghibli Museum, which has also had successful collaborations in the past.

Starting Jan. 11, 2013, four classes in total will be held every other week. The lecturers will all be affiliated with the Ghibli Museum. The course will cover the history of anime from its inception to modern day.

Seats are limited to 40 people, and only attending the first lecture is okay. The course will cover foundational education on anime, and is also sure to cover deeper subject matter. For anime fans, this is a great opportunity to learn more about what they love in a true academic setting!
