First JoJo Opening Theme Song Is Now On Sale! Release Date for Second Opening Theme Song Announced!

"JoJo~Sono Chi no Sadame", the opening theme song to hit anime JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, went on sale on Nov. 21st, 2012. The song features the passionate vocals of singer Hiroaki "Tommy" Tominaga.

The song has attracted much attention as a classic-in-the-making for aptly expressing the hot-blooded energy of the anime. Both the short and full versions of the mobile ringtone of the song have been downloaded numerous times, indicating the song's immense popularity.

The CD is on sale for 735 yen (tax included) and also includes the vocal-less karaoke version of the song. According to Warner Entertainment Japan Inc., the CD is so popular that many backorders had to be taken.

The song's lyricist, Shoko Fujibayashi, is known for writing the lyrics to the One Piece opening, "We Are!", while Kohei Tanaka, a pioneering composer in the hot-blooded anime music genre, brought the "shounen" music style to new heights with this song.

In more JoJo news, the second part of JoJo, titled "Battle Tendency", which began from episode 10 of the anime, also started airing on Dec. 14, 2012. The story has a brand new start that takes place 49 years after Jonathan's death. The opening theme for part two of the anime, "Bloody Stream", which was written by Saori Kodama and performed by Coda, will go on sale on Jan. 30, 2013. Kodama also wrote the theme song "1000% SPARKING!" for the anime Negima! Magister Negi Magi. The song is composed by Toshiyuki Oomori, who is known for his work on "Soul's Refrain", the theme song to a previous Evangelion movie.

"Bloody Stream" will also be priced at 735 yen with a vocal-less karaoke track included. The jacket cover and tracks have yet to be released. JoJo fans should definitely look forward to this release!
