On December 17, the action game Rockman (known in America as Mega Man) will celebrate its 25th anniversary. In commemoration of this, a CD titled “Rockman Holic - The 25th Anniversary” will be released two days later on December 19. To accompany this news, the participating vocalists and composers were also announced.
The album contains a collection of music from the Rockman and Rockman X series. The CD will feature a remix of the popular song “Can’t Beat Air Man” as well as rock, jazz, trance, and Eurobeat versions of other songs. The CD will also include an original song based on the series. The popular doujin music group Sound Holic is creating the musical compositions.
Popular voice actress Masako Nozawa has also been announced as a vocalist. She is famous for her voice work as Kitaro in GeGeGe no Kitaro and as Goku in Dragon Ball. Regarding her involvement with the album, she had this to say:

When I first heard “Cut Man Blues”, the lyrics and music really fit Cut Man, so I was able to quickly get the feel of it. The lyrics are really nice and make me feel like I am performing while singing! I love the song and I love Cutman because he’s cute! I sang the song trying to be cute like Cut Man, so I would be very happy if everyone who listens feels like it really is Cut Man and likes it too!
Since its original release in December 1987, 129 games have been made in the Rockman series, which have collectively sold more than 28 million copies. “Rockman Holic - The 25th Anniversary” memorializes this long running series. Don’t miss it!
