Designed by artist Shizuma Yoshinori and featuring voice acting by Taketatsu Ayana, Yamato is a battleship appearing in the Kantai Collection -KanColle- franchise based on the Japanese battleship Yamato which served the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War II.
Yamato is also the sister ship to the aircraft carrier Shinano and battleship Musashi.
