Raiden Merchandise

Known by many names—Jack, Jack the Ripper, White Devil, Mr. Lightning Bolt, or Snake—Raiden was originally a child soldier under Solidus Snake. He was later recruited by the special forces unit FOXHOUND and also worked with the Paradise Lost Army for a brief time. His latter involvement led to his capture by the Patriots, who used him for experiments and gave him the familiar mechanical extensions.

He was first introduced in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty as a main character, a sudden substitution for previous protagonist Iroquois Pliskin or Solid Snake. He also appeared in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. His name Jack as well as that of his wife Rosemary is a hint to the movie Titanic. They also have a son named John.
