Hakuoki Figures & Merchandise

Multimedia franchise Hakuoki began as a popular visual novel published by Idea Factory for PlayStation 2 with later ports to PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DS and 3DS. Hakuoki has since been adapted into a popular TV anime by Studio Deen aired in 2010 as well.

Set in the Bakumatsu era, Hakuoki follows the adventures of Chizuru Yukimura who travels to Kyoto to look for her father but is attacked by a gang of mad men. Rescued by the Shinsengumi, Chizuru is then taken into custody for questioning, but when they learn that she is the daughter of Kudo Yukimura—a doctor who developed the Water of Life elixir which increases healing ability, speed, and strength yet can turn the drinker into a mindless killer known as a “Rasetsu”—they decide to keep her around to assist in their inquiries.

Chizuru settles in with the Shinsengumi members including Toshizou Hijikata, Souji Okita, Isami Kondo, Keisuke Yamanami, Shinpachi Nagakura, Sanosuke Harada, Heisuke Todo, and Hajime Saito as they continue to work on behalf of the bakufu but soon discovers she herself is harbouring a dark secret...
