Gainax

Founded by Hideaki Anno, Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, Hiroyuki Yamaga, Takami Akai, Toshio Okada, Yasuhiro Takeda, and Shinji Higuchi in 1984, the animation studio Gainax has produced numerous popular and even cult anime such as Neon Genesis Evangelion, Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water, His and Her Circumstances, Gurren Lagann, This Ugly Yet Beautiful World, He Is My Master, Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, and Wish Upon the Pleiades among others.

Gainax has also made movies including Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honneamise, Evangelion: Death and Rebirth, The End of Evangelion, Revival of Evangelion, and Rebuild of Evangelion, and OVAs such as Gunbuster, Otaku no Video, FLCL, and Re: Cutie Honey, just to mention a few.
