X JAPAN and Hyde Perform Attack on Titan Season 3 Theme!

Attack on Titan has announced that the opening theme song for its third anime season will be performed by Japanese rock icons X JAPAN and HYDE.

Titled “Red Swan”, the song is a collaboration between X Japan drummer YOSHIKI and L’Arc～en～Ciel vocalist HYDE and is set for worldwide release with a CD single on sale from Pony Canyon in the autumn.

Isayama Hajime’s popular manga Attack on Titan takes place in a world in which the preservation of humankind is threatened by man-eating Titans. First serialized in Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in 2009, its first anime adaptation aired in 2013 with a second season following in 2017.

Attack on Titan Season 3 begins broadcasts on Jul. 23.
