The sequel to the Gintama live action adaptation has confirmed its official title as Gintama 2: Okite wa Yaburu Tame ni Koso Aru (Rules Are Made to be Broken)!
Five mysterious visuals featuring new characters were also released on the official Twitter account, but the casting choices behind them have not yet been revealed.
The A-list main cast from the original movie, including Oguri Shun, Suda Masaki, and Hashimoto Kanna, are all set return alongside Nagasawa Masami, Okada Masaki, Nakamura Kankuro, Yagira Yuya, Yoshizawa Ryou, Muro Tsuyoshi, Kimura Midoriko, and Doumoto Tsuyoshi.
The movie will cover both the Shinsengumi Crisis and Shogun Reception arcs of the original manga.
Gintama 2: Okite wa Yaburu Tame ni Koso Aru opens in cinemas across Japan on Aug. 17.
