Nintendo and Illumination Officially Announce Super Mario Film!

Nintendo has announced that a Super Mario animated film is officially in the works!

Nintendo has partnered with film and animation studio Illumination, which has produced well-received hits like Despicable Me, Minions, and Sing. Miyamoto Shigeru (Co-Representative Director of Nintendo) and Chris Meledandri (CEO of Illumination) will be producing the project together.

Backed by both Nintendo and Universal Studios, the film is also to be distributed by Universal Studios.
