A new anime starring Katrielle "Kat" Layton, the daughter of Professor Hershel Layton, will premiere in Apr. on Japan’s Fuji TV!
Directed by Mitsunaka Susumu, Layton Mystery Detective Agency: Kat’s Mystery-Solving Files follows the countless mysteries and riddles that Kat (Hanazawa Kana) encounters while living and working as a private detective in London.
The first episode will feature Kat attempting to get to the bottom of a reportedly cursed house. That very episode will also feature a special guest, singer, actor, and dancer Imai Tsubasa in her first anime voice performance.
Fans were first introduced to Kat in Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaire’s Conspiracy, which is the seventh main title in the Layton video game series. In the game, Kat takes it upon herself to become a detective after her father mysteriously disappears.
The Professor Layton game series, developed by Level-5, has sold more than 17 million copies around the world. This new series was an original concept from Level-5 CEO Hino Akihiro.
