A live action drama of Kawamoto Homura’s thrilling Kakegurui - Compulsive Gambler is scheduled to premiere in Japan in 2018.
Directed by Hanabusa Tsutomu, the drama will broadcast on MBS on Jan. 14 and TBS on Jan. 16. Actress Hamabe Minami will star as protagonist Jabami Yumeko, the exchange student who gets quite the thrill from gambling, even when the results aren’t so desirable!
Starring alongside Hamabe is actress Morikawa Aoi (as Saotome Mary) and Takasugi Mahiro (as Suzui Ryouta). The new visual reveals how the main cast looks as their respective characters; Jabami even has her trademark ring that glistens unlike anything else!
Kakegurui - Compulsive Gambler was first serialized in Square Enix’s Gangan Joker in 2014. The story revolves around Jabami, who attends a world-class academy that focuses not on the academic strengths of its students, but their ability to manipulate, lie, and gamble without fail.
