Fans of the hit TV anime series “Is it Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?” will be excited to learn that a smartphone RPG game based on the anime will soon be released in English for iOS and Android. “Is it Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?” started as a light novel series and now has multiple anime adaptations. The series gained an overwhelming number of international fans when Crunchyroll released the anime back in 2015.
“Is it Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? MEMORIA FREESE” (also known as “Dan-Memo”) was released in Japan in June 2017 and has already reached over 3 million downloads. The game follows an original storyline written by the novel series author, Fujino Omori, and is a full-fledged exploration RPG. Not only that, but it’s fully voiced by the anime voice actors!
Users are able to play as Bell Cranel, Ais Wallenstein, Riveria Ljos Alf, or Liliruca Ard. From the main screen, users can explore the city of Orario, interact with characters one-on-one, or go on missions. Teams for the missions can be freely created and edited using a multitude of familiar characters from the anime. Turn-based battle gameplay allows the user to choose between regular or special ability attacks to take on powerful bosses. The app’s creators plan on adding more content, such as character designs and additional storylines, at a later date.
The English version of the app is scheduled to be released in early 2018 and will be available for both iOS and Android users. (Requires iOS ver. 8.0, Android ver. 4.4 or higher.)
