Brand New Touken Ranbu Musical Set For Later This Year!

A new Touken Ranbu musical will be hitting stages across Japan later this year!

Musicals and live shows based off of the popular browser and mobile game Touken Ranbu: Online have been sporadically performed since 2015, both in Japan and in other countries such as China, India, and France. A large part of their success can be contributed to the spirited performances, gorgeously detailed costumes, and high quality production!

The new musical, which features a brand new story, will run from Nov. 2017 to Jan. 2018 in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. A brand new cast will have their chance to perform as Iwatooshi, Imanotsurugi, Kogitsunemaru, and Mikazuki Munechika. Higekiri and Hizamaru will also be joining in!

A new live event titled “Shinken Ranbu Matsu 2017” will also be on stage all throughout Dec. 2017. The performance, which features the handsome characters of Touken Ranbu dancing and singing, will be held at Tokyo’s Nippon Budokan, Osaka Jou hall, and Saitama Super Arena.

There aren't any further details on either plots yet, but there’s no doubt it’ll be well worth seeing!
