Korilakkuma × HANDS CAFE - Limited-time Collaboration Cafe [Photo Report]

The collaborative project of Korilakkuma x HANDS CAFE opened on May. 16, 2017 in 6 different locations throughout Japan, including Tokyo, Osaka, Hyogo, Fukuoka, Saitama and Kanagawa.

A reservation is required to dine at Tokyo, Osaka and Saitama cafe on weekend, and it has amazingly been fully booked since the first day of operation! This time we were lucky enough to have a chance to visit the Omotesando Cafe which is located on the 5th floor of Tokyu Plaza Harajuku.

Let’s take a look inside!

As we stepped in the cafe, our first impression was of the interior, which was quite adorably filled with Korilakkuma and Chairoikoguma decorations in pastel colors.

On every table, there’s a Korilakkuma and Chairoikoguma waiting to welcome you. Off to the side is the photo corner, where you can freely snap photos with Korilakkuma and Chairoikoguma plushies.

Advance reservations cost 600 yen per person (tax excluded). Every guest will get a lunch mat and a coaster to take home. On top of that, guest with a reservation will get a special present, a micro-fiber towel.

These super cute coasters are also available for every guest. Both lunch mats and coasters will be selected at random.

After a fair amount of pondering in the world of Korilakkuma, it was tasting time! I had a full course meal of delicious Korilakkuma themed food, including: a main dish, dessert and coffee.

The main dish was Korilakkuma Flower Field Taco rice, which is a fancy rice bowl topped with taco sauce, diced tomato and Cheddar cheese, and lastly decorated with flowers.

The rice was even made in the shape of a Korilakkuma, so it was just too cute- I almost felt guilty about eating it!

Pancake for dessert, anyone?

They have an array of hot and fluffy pancakes served with fresh strawberries, strawberry ice cream, and whipped cream.

Finishing off the meal with cafe au lait (served with brown sugar).
