Join the Making of Miyazaki Hayao’s Last Masterpiece!

You might have heard that Miyazaki Hayao is out of retirement once again and is working on a feature-length anime titled Boro the Caterpillar. Now, in order to complete his (most likely) last masterpiece, Studio Ghibli is recruiting young animators and background artists!

Everyone who is above 18 and knows enough Japanese is eligible regardless of gender or nationality. All you have to do is fill in the CV form and submit two B4 size works according to the requirements via post by July 20 (arrival deadline).

Those who pass the preliminary screening will be notified until aug. 10 and advance for a practical exam and interview held in early September. The final interview will be in mid-September, and the select few who made it will be accepted as contract employees working full time for a three-year period starting on Oct. 1.

This is a once in a lifetime chance, so if you want to take part in making the magic that is Miyazaki anime, head over to Ghibli’s website for more details!
