Katekyo Hitman Reborn! has finally revealed the illustrations for vol. 3 of the resurrection Blu-ray box set!
The sleeve case drawn by original creator Amano Akira features protagonist Sawada Tsunayoshi, Xanxus, the leader of the independent assassination squad Varia, and Byakuran, the boss of the Millefiore Famiglia and the last antagonist in the anime series.
The digipak inside is illustrated by Tanaka Masayoshi, showing Sawada Tsunayoshi and Reborn from the Vongola Famiglia; Xanxus, Squalo, and Bel from the Varia; and Byakuran, Kikyo, and Zakuro from the Millefiore Famiglia in an epic stand-off.
Vol. 3 of the Blu-ray box comes with 61 episodes (Arcobaleno Arc, Future Choice Arc, Primo Family Arc, and the Future Final Battle Arc) on eight discs, a bonus video disc titled “Reborn Character Collection Vol. 3”, and a re-recorded drama CD. The set will release on June 21, retailing for 38,000 yen not including tax.
If you purchase the set from the Canime webshop, you will even get a jacket-size postcard book featuring 18 DVD cover illustrations as an original bonus!
In addition, a compilation CD featuring the opening and ending themes of the legendary series is coming on July 19, so be sure to keep an eye out for that, too!
