PREMICO and Sailor Moon Crystal have joined forces to release a gorgeous premium item to all the lovely guardians in the world! This collaboration item, a lovely high class wallet, officially hit the market on Apr. 25 and features motifs inspired by the one and only brave scaredy-cat Tsukino Usagi!
The rich pink fabric immediately catches attention with its feminine appearance, but one shouldn’t overlook the finer details! The pattern, which gives an impression of traditional aristocratic design, highlights all sorts of fun Sailor Moon motifs like crescent moons and flowers!
A closer look also reveals an intricate flower motif that pulls everything together! This is the “hanabishimon”, or a flower-shaped family crest. Technically Tsukino didn’t have a family crest, but this original addition keeps with the theme and is utterly charming!
Of course, it wouldn’t be a true Tsukino-themed good without her precious Transformation Brooch!
The woven strap attached to the wallet ends with three pretty charms: a bell, an engraved crescent moon, and a miniature version of the Silver Crystal!
Not only is it stunning to look at, but it’s practical enough for daily use as well! It zippers shut and has a total of 19 pockets, some specially designed to house cards, loose change, and any other small trinkets you’d like to tote around.
There will only be 2,000 sold, with each one available for an impressive 19,800 yen. PREMICO isn’t kidding about quality, either; this wallet comes nestled in a lovely decorative box with designs and motifs presented in gold leaf!
By the way, if you’re curious as to why designs in the wallet are especially crisp and vivid, it’s because they’re made of the finest quality thanks to the unique weaving techniques used in their production. Called “Nishijin-Ori”, the traditional handicraft dates back to the 5th or 6th century Kyoto’s Nishijin district.
All in all, this gorgeous wallet is perfect for Sailor Moon Crystal fans who want to channel cute aesthetics without sacrificing all-important quality!
