New Yu-Gi-Oh! Anime Airing Next Spring!

A new anime in the Yu-Gi-Oh! series will be going on air. Broadcasting will begin in the spring of 2017 on TV Tokyo. In addition to this announcement, a character visual of protagonist Fujiki Yusaku was published.

Counting all of the anime series since 2000’s Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters, this anime will be the sixth. The title has yet to be decided, but the main theme is, “Let’s take a step forward and give it a try!” It’s aimed towards kids who give up before trying things as a way to inspire them to take a step forward in the things they like or have an interest in and try them.

The protagonist of this series is Fujiki Yusaku, a young boy who hates to stand out too much. Through dueling, he meets with different kinds of people and is able to take a new step of his own. In this character visual, you can see him with his spiky blue and violet hair holding a card.
