A new project is in store for the anime Hozuki no Reitetsu. In addition to a new visual, a special event is also being planned. The event will be held on 3/11/2017 in Tokyo’s Roppongi.
The anime Hozuki no Reitetsu is based on a manga by the same name currently serialized in Morning. 23 volumes of manga have been released with more than 10 million volumes printed. The TV anime began airing in 2014, and after its successful run, development started on an OAD (original animation DVD).
Around 2 years have passed since the anime aired, and now there will finally be a new project: an OAD. A talented staff has been brought together to illustrate the world of Hozuki no Reitetsu once again. A new visual has been released as well, featuring protagonist Hozuki and a number of other characters. The cast working on this new OAD have also been announced.
Along with the release of the visual, an event was also announced. Called “Jigoku no Daikanshokai in Roppongi,” it will be held on 3/11/2017 at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills. There will be a screening of the OAD attached to the limited edition going on sale on Mar. 23, as well as a talk show with the cast including Yasumoto Hiroki (Hozuki) and Nagasako Takashi (King Enma). The 3rd part to this project’s plan will also be announced, so it’s a must-see for fans!
There will also be a live viewing of the event nationwide. Details will be released later.
