The schedule for the upcoming TV anime Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru has been decided. It will begin on Tokyo MX at midnight on Oct. 3, and will then be followed by broadcasts on Kansai TV and BS11. It will also be streamed on DMM.com and dAnimeStore.
Details about the opening theme have also been revealed. The voice actors for Yamatonokami Yasusada (Ichiki Mitsuhiro) and Kashuu Kiyomitsu (Masuda Toshiki) will sing the pop song Hanamaru Hiyori. The Japanese inspiration shines through, making it perfect for this series.

The ending theme will vary from episode to episode, giving you a chance to hear different Touken Danshi.
The chosen singers will be based on the story of each episode. This will give you a chance to look forward to not only the stories, but the music waiting at the end.
There will clearly be a lot of great music in this anime, and it will all be compiled and released in a CD series which consists of 6 titles, with the 1st planned for release on Oct. 12. In addition to the opening theme Hanamaru Hiyori, the special edition will include a booklet of storyboards from the opening video, as well as original chibi stickers by animation director Iida Eriko. The CD jacket illustration has also been revealed, and it features both Yamatonokami Yasusada and Kashuu Kiyomitsu. It’s a double jacket with 2 specially drawn illustrations, and it seems like the reverse side will be great, as well!
With Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru airing before too long, it looks like we’ll have lots of great music to look forward to in addition to the story and characters.
